Commissioning

FSE knows that commissioning is vital to the wellbeing of a building. Commissioning can save a facility thousands of dollars a year through quality assurance testing of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems to ensure they efficiently meet the needs of the building.

Since 2010, FSE has commissioned hundreds of buildings, ranging from educational buildings to medical laboratories. Our team combines real-world knowledge with commissioning expertise, comprised of professional engineers, Certified Energy Managers, controls engineers and LEED accredited professionals.

Our employees boast certifications including ASHRAE, the Association of Energy Engineers, and NEBB. FSE is also an active member with AEE, BCxA, USGBC and ASHRAE.

Commissioning is an ongoing, daily activity that is part of FSE's core business. In an effort to provide the best commissioning service for our clients, we implement a six-phase process that includes:

  • Design review and familiarization
  • Master schedule and customized inspection forms
  • Pre-Functional Commissioning(Inspection Phase 1)
  • Functional Performance Testing(Inspection Phase 2)
  • Total environment matrix
  • Final building performance review
